Are you licensed as is required by law now?

We hold an animal breeding licence (pet shop licence) from Brentwood council number: 22/00066/LIANI

Do you breed your animals all the time?

Our animals are family pets and experience animals first, but we also breed certain species that we keep, and rehome the excess babies to the best homes.

How long have you bred animals?

We have bred animals here since 2009 under the name "Benjamin’s Ark" but have combined that aspect of our animal work with our experience company Exotic Explorers in 2022.

Why do you breed animals?

We have always enjoyed having the babies, and love seeing the natural enrichment that comes from animals becoming parents. We also believe that if animals are raised with care then they make the best pets and companion animals. There will always be people who breed solely for profit but if enough people research and only buy from reputable licensed people, hopefully this will soon end.

What happens to any animals you don’t rehome?

We are fully prepared to keep any animals we don’t find suitable homes for and wouldn’t breed them if we weren’t.

We operate a zero kill policy with all our animals. Some mass breeders will often kill off undesirable sexes which isn’t advertised but a very sad aspect of the industry.

Do you provide advice, care sheets or food?

We provide you with changeover food, diet advice and a care sheet for every animal sold. We are also always here for any advice needed.

If I can’t keep an animal will you take it back ?

If any animal can’t remain with you, please contact us and we will either help you rehome it or of course take the animal back. No money will be refunded.

Do you take deposits to reserve animals?

We always ask for a 50% deposit upfront to reserve your animal, which is non refundable unless we can’t provide you with the animal.

Do you have waiting lists?

For certain species we do have waiting lists. Please contact us to have your name put on it.
